I have a minor child (14) who is going to have a baby. The father is also 14. Who is this baby's legal guardian? How do I get guardianship without the father's permission?

State law varies in regard to minor parents' rights; however, all states require the minor parent's consent for a child to be placed for adoption. In some states, minor parents are able to place their child for adoption without additional consent. In other states, the pregnant minor's parents or guardian would also need to consent to an adoption.
