Full Question:

When consecutive sentences are imposed are the sentences served in order of sentencing date? There are two separate sentences.

Answer:

Often, consecutive sentences are served back-to-back and one sentence does not begin until the previous sentence has ended. However, thr manner in which sentences are served varies by the nature of the crime and policies of the corrections department. In some cases, a policy will treat consecutive sentences as one single, continuous sentence.
