If I am legally separated can I force my husband into signing the divorce papers?

I was married for less than 1 year, and there are no kids involved. If you file for a divorce, can your spouse prevent the divorce from happening by not signing the papers? The legal separation papers are already in place.

Answer:

If one party doesn't sign the divorce papers, a default divorce may be granted.
