Full Question:

My ex-husband and I have standard divorce decree. If he does not pick up the kids at the appropriate time scheduled in our decree, do I have to wait around for him? He has not seen them in about a month to 2 months.

Answer:

You should carefully read the terms of your divorce decree and/or parenting or visitation plan regarding your options when your spouse is late or does not show up to visit your children regularly. You may also consider filing a petition to modify your divorce decree, specifically the orders relating to visitation, if you can show a significant change in circumstances that would warrant the modification.
