Full Question:

I'm 18 and planning to move out soon. My mother is quite unhappy and thinks I am still in need of supervision. If I do move out, what exactly determines what property belongs to me? Does everything such as my furniture and everything in my bedroom belong to me? Would my cell phone belong to me? And more importantly, my car was a surprise and bought while I was in Texas. My mom told me she would have put it under my name, but couldn't because I wasn't there to sign. So she could take it from me if she chose to?

Answer:

If you have a bill of sale or other document showing your name on the title, it would indicate you are the owner.
