How do I end an ongoing legal dispute?
Full Question:
When reporting my brother-in-law for stealing his 80 year old mother's house I called him a thief and he saw this private email. I've spent $3000 in attorney fees and my lawyer says settle (no way, he is a thief) for around $15K. Three times this case has been dismissed for lack of jurisdiction (he's in S.C. and I'm in O.R.) as well as the way it was filed in conjunction with the price of the house. His attorney has a rep for dragging cases out. Is there anything I can do to end this now? It's gone on for almost 18 months.

Answer:
Ways to resolve it include settlement, dismissal or judgment. It sounds like you will have to keep paying the attorney fees if he keeps pursing the matter or settle. Wish there were other things but cannot think of any based on what you say.
