What can I do to stay with my dad if my mother is fighting for custody?
Full Question:
My mother is suing my father for kidnapping. She claims that she has not seen me in since August (10 months). She also claims that she's afraid I might get pregnant and that I'm doing drugs and drinking alcohol. She also says she's afraid for my safety because according to her my father is an explosive and aggressive person. When she left on August 8, I said I wanted to live with my dad and she let my stay. She took my brothers to another state and went to live with her girlfriend there. My dad let me go visit her during Christmas time and I have pictures to prove it. Also in the school I am in now I have good grades, I've stopped skipping classes and I was recently a semi-finalist to recieve a scholarship to study during the summer period a near-by private college. When I lived with her I was always late and had over 32 absences from school. I've never done drugs and I don't drink. I'm not sexually active either. My dad has never been aggresive with me explosive. She filed suit saying that I was an out of state minor, even tough I got to school in Florida, lived here for more than 6 months and have a Florida ID. I don't want to go back to playing mother to my 11 and 12 year old brothers. What can I do in this situation? How can I keep living in Florida with my dad?
