What is the electronic signing device?
Full Question:
I want to receive services from 'X' website and they require an electronic agreement to provide the service. So, I go to their sign-in page which is a web form that displays a signature agreement statement (e.g., "I am agreeing to X, Y and Z" by clicking on this button and entering my password.").
Beneath the web form is a toggle button with the label "I agree with the above statement (referring to the signature statement previously stated). Below that is a data entry field labeled "Your 'X'Site password :"
I read the agreement, toggle the button and enter my password. Then I click on a button that says--SIGN IT.
When I do this, exactly WHAT is the "electronic signature device" in this scenario versus the "electronic signature" itself? is the electronic signature a combination of my user account, my password, the signature agreement statement and the toggle button setting or is it just the password?
What is the electronic signing device? Is it the former the form and the fields and the password or just the password?

Answer:
An electronic signing device takes various forms. Some forms consist of hardware, of which the software that programs the buttons and form display is required to operate the hardware.
