How long does a grandfather clause remain in effect?
How long does the "grandfather clause" remain in effect?
Category: Laws |
State: South Carolina |
A grandfather clause is usually set in time and is effective forever or until an expiration date if there is one. For example a provision that provides you can get a license to be a dentist if you practiced as a dentist before 1930 would remain in effect unless it has a specify expiration. This is only an example and not an actual grandfather clause.
