I am 51 and currently unemployed. My late husband provided benefits until my children were of age. Since I have no job, is there any way that I could reapply for death benefits?

If you no longer have children in your care, then the only way you may receive survivor benefits prior to age 60 would be if you are disabled. You may get assistance for determining the amount of benefits you are eligible to receive by calling the SSA at the following number:
