Is there a law prohibiting a child's parent to find out the punishment of another child?

In a private school, is there a law prohibiting a child's parent to find out the punishment of another child, if the other child has punched your child while at school? Our private school will not give us info on the punishment the other child may have recieved after he punch our child.

Answer:
There could be laws on the direct issue but we are not aware of any. However, general laws of privacy and school procedures would most likely prohibit telling you about punishment of another child and would also prohibit the school from disclosing punishment of your child.
