How Do I Remove a Home From a Trust?
Full Question:
We set up a trust in California & put our home in Colorado in that trust. We now live in Colorado & want to take our home out of this trust. How do we do this. We are currently making out a new will that isn't a trust.

In order to make changes to a revocable living trust, a person may sign a Trust Amendment or sign a complete Trust Restatement. A trust amendment changes specific provisions of a revocable living trust but leaves all of the other provisions unchanged, while an amendment and restatement of Trust completely replaces and supercedes all of the provisions of the original revocable living trust. When real property is removed from a trust, a real property deed is filed, showing the transfer of the property from the trustee.
