If I right a letter to someone requesting they stop talking about my family can I be sued?
Full Question:
Can I write a letter to one of my son's co-workers and his wife, who are trying to ruin my sons reputation by running their mouths to people in the community and family because he is jealous of my sons coaching record and people are talking about replacing him with my son.
I just want them to know how I feel about the situation and that the crap needs to stop. My son is not trying to take his job and he has nothing to do with what the community does or how they feel. It all boils down to jealousy and envy and they need to stop running their mouths about my son. Could my letter be used against me in a defamation, libel, or slander civil suit?
