Full Question:

Answer:
Attorneys will often prepare a settlement summary which includes an itemized list of costs and expenses. The other party may verify the settlement amount upon request. Depending on the type of case, such as a wrongful death case settled by guardians of a minor, a final statement may be required to be filed with the court.
