Am I responsible for the bill I received two years after the work was performed?
Full Question:
I had an HVAC service done on my central air system on 7/15/05 from a contractor I had never used before. It was fixed and I never received a bill for the service. I have now received a bill for $335.00 to replace a $15.00 part more than 2 years after the job was done. I got no call or letter saying why the billing was never sent to me.
Am I responsible for this? Should I offer to pay half to settle the bill?
