Can my landlord legally come into our house when I'm not home?

On our monthly agreenent that we signed it has a section that states, ( Right of entery, Lessor reserves the right to enter the demised premises at all reasonable hours for the purpose of isspection, and whenever nessary to make repairs and alterations to the demised premises. Lessee hereby grants permission to the lessor to show the demised premises to prespective purchasers, mortgagees, tenants, workmen, or contractors, at reasonable hours of the day.) So can my landlord legaly come over to our house when we are not home. He has several times and I would really like to know.

Answer:
The tenant has the right to peaceful enjoyment of the property, but the lease can modify this right. It is possible for you to negotiate with the landlord to change the entry terms to require notification before entry or to only enter when your are present if not an emergency.
