Should I register my marriage in the USA if I was married in Pakistan?

I live in Pakistan. My husband is a green card holder. He is from Pakistan. We got married on the 25th day of May, 2006. Our marriage is registered in Pakistan. He says that since our marriage is registered in Pakistan, there is no need to register it in USA. He lives in Orlando, Florida. Should our marriage be registered in the USA?

In general, marriages which are legally performed and valid abroad are also
legally valid in the United States. In other words, a marriage which is valid
under the law of the country in which it is made will generally be recognized
as valid in any state of the United States.
We are not aware of any law that requires or provides for the registration of
foreign marriages in Florida. The existence of a marriage may be proved by
authenticated marriage records and certificates from Pakistan. A properly
authenticated marriage certificate, record or register, or copy or transcript
thereof, is admissible to prove a marriage.
