Answer to Question 1: There do not appear to be any laws regulating whether and until what age siblings of the opposite sex may share a bedroom. This may become an issue with state child protective services in situations involving foster homes or in custody battles. You will need to make this decision based on what is healthy in the long term for the children and their privacy.
