Is it possible for a person to rescind the acknowledgement after signing it under the law prevailing in Alabama?

My boyfriend had signed an acknowledgement of paternity at the time of the birth of our twins. At present, our relationship is going through a rough patch. I fear that my boyfriend might rescind the acknowledgement. Whenever my boyfriend and I have any argument, my boyfriend ends up saying that he is not the father of the twins. Is it possible for my boyfriend to rescind the acknowledgement under the law prevailing in Alabama?

Answer:
“A signatory may rescind an acknowledgment of paternity only in a judicial proceeding before the earlier of:
(1) sixty days after the effective date of the acknowledgment, as provided in Section 26-17-304; or
(2) the date of the first hearing, in a proceeding to which the signatory is a party, before a court to adjudicate an issue relating to the child, including a proceeding that establishes support.”
Your boyfriend may rescind the acknowledgment of paternity only in a judicial proceeding. However, if your boyfriend intends to rescind the acknowledgment, he has to rescind it within the time mentioned in Code of Ala. § 26-17-307.
