My son is in prison and has given me his POA. Do I sign his name and am I as his POA legally responsible for any of the documents and/or contents he has me sign in front of a notary? Thanks

You must disclose your identity as an agent whenever you act for the principal by writing or printing the principal's name and signing your own name as "agent" in either of the following manners: (Principal's Name) by (Your Signature) as Agent, or (your signature) as Agent for (Principal's Name).
An agent is not personally liable for acts on the principal's behalf unless the agent acts outside the authority granted in the power of attorney, acts in an illegal manner, or misuses the power to act in her own interest.
