What Does It amean To Distribute an Estate According to the Intestate Laws of the State?
Any assets remaining in the trust estate shall be distributed by the trustee to the heirs at law of --,said heirs to be determined pursuant to the laws of the state in which he is residing at the time of his death providing for the distribution of estates of person dying intestate. what does this mean, I am his wife. diana I want to understand what that statement means?

My brother passed away suddenly and had no will. His accounts had benificarys (my sister and Myself) his estate is valued at no more than 10,000. My question is, going thru his mail, he didn't file his state return with the IRS for 2009. I went to my accountant to take care of it but IRS won't let me do this. my sister passed away while living in P.A. she is unmarried and had no children. There is no will and no money. She did own 2 vehicles worth approx. 3,000.00. She did not own any property.
