Full Question:
Answer:
The answer depends on the value of the mineral interests. If any person dies who is the owner of real property in Wyoming, including mineral interests, but whose entire estate including personal property does not exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00), the person or persons claiming to be the distributees of the decedent may file, not earlier than thirty (30) days after the decedent’s death, an application for a decree in the district court of the county where the property is situated.
After publication of the notice of application once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the county, or otherwise as the court may order, the court shall consider the application.
