What are the requirements to become emancipated?
Full Question:
My siutation with my parents haven't been the best for a few years now. They are seperated, which makes communication a struggle. My mother is emotionaly unstable, and my father has postpolio, which makes his nerves on edge constantly. Sometimes, we all get along, though most the time we don't. I'm not physically abused. We have tried a counselor; not successful. I believe they may mean the best, but are stuck behind a fog screen. I know they don't make the smartest deicisions for me. I'm 16 years old, will be 17 in early March. I believe I know myself best, and am mature for my age, therefore can make the best decisions for my myself. My situation is becoming more severe recently, and I want out. I have a job with a steady income. I have saved up too since I was young. I could support myself.
My question for you is though I'm young, and am not physically abused, is emancipation an option for me?
