Does the Other Parent Have a Right to Inspect the Other parent's Home?
Full Question:
Fiancee moving in next month. Has kids every other weekend. Am I obligated by law in the state of Massachusetts to have his ex wife and her husband view the kids room? They are insisting upon it and I am not crazy over the idea. I live in a residential condo community.

Answer:
You would not be legally obligated unless there is a court order stating that they have a right to inspect or approve the child's living arrangements. If there is confusion about the terms of the order, you may petition the court for clarification.
