What is the appropriate way to terminate your lease?
Full Question:
My girlfriend and I have lived in our apartment for 6 days. We were told that they are very quiet apartments and that is exactly what we wanted. During our first night here we already wanted to complain about the noise, two days later we did. Nothing changed. The next day was worse, we complained again. We now realize that it's not rude neighbors but thin walls causing the problem. This stressful enviroment is now becoming unhealthy for my 3 month pregnant girlfriend. She is losing sleep and extremely frustrated. Do we have the right to terminate the lease, at no extra cost, since the manager could only offer solutions that would raise our rent or cost us 2 months of rent to move out? Is this a breach of Warrant of habitibility?
