My fiancee and I live in California but we will move to Georgia after marriage. The wedding is also going to take place in Georgia. What I wanna know is, if neither of the party to the marriage is a resident of Georgia, in which county will the marriage license be issued?

Answer:
O.C.G.A. § 19-3-30 states:
“(2) If one of the persons to be married is a resident of this state, the license may be issued in any county of this state. If neither the male nor the female to be married is a resident of this state, the license shall be issued in the county in which the ceremony is to be performed.”
