Is a Child 18 Years Old Emancipated if Still in High School?
What are the responsibilities / liabilities of a parent in Tennessee who's 18 year old daughter has moved out of our home to live elsewhere? She is still enrolled in high school - so does the age of majority change to 19? We want nothing to do with with her but are concerned that we could still be held liable for her actions outside of our home...

My son is 18 yrs old, but still in high school. He wants to move into his own apartment and has the funds to do so. Do I have any legal responsibility if he were to get in any kind of trouble? Is it legal for him to move since he is still in high school? Thank you!

In South Carolina, do I have to emancipate my 18 year old defiant-type son? He still lives at home, but we don't want liability for what he does and if he wants to go to college, he will do better obtaining Federal scholarships such as Pell grants if we are 'divorced' from all responsibility?
