Full Question:
My father just died without a will. I am his daughter (with a birth certificate). He had no property or debts. I am trying to bury him in Houston at the VA Memorial Cemetery, but because his sister (my aunt) wants him buried in another city, the funeral home is holding his body. I have already expended my savings on funeral home expenses and now I am told that I have to go to probate court to get his body released to me. This could cost me up to $4,000. Are there some forms I can purchase and file myself to a court to help speed this process up?
