When I marry would I aquire my new husband's debt owed prior to our marriage?
You love someone and would love to marry them, but they have children and paying child support. By marrying them does it allow those collecting to look to me for payment. In other words, do I acquire his debt?

My son owes child support in Oklahoma. He is currently incarcerated in Arkansas and needs an abeyance form from Oklahoma to stop his support at its current level.
