Is it possible to make a self-proof will? My friend told me that a will may be self-proved at the time of its execution. Can you tell me more about this?

My mom made a will but later she revoked it. There were two codicil made with regard to that will. If the will is revoked, does it revoke the codicil as well? Does my mom need to revoke the codicil as well?

My husband died in a road accident. I never knew he had made a will before he married me. After his death, my husband’s brother told me that my husband has left behind a will. The will for obvious reasons has no clause for me nor does it have any provision for future spouse. However, my friend told me that I could still claim my elective share in my husband’s will.
