Can I adopt my son without using an attorney?
My question is I have a stepson from my wifes previous marriage. He today is 3 years old and my wife and I have benn married for 2 years. His father passed away this past summer.I am looking to adopt my stepson but my wife and I are on one income.I was wondering if I could repersent myself in court and if it would be to difficult. thanks jon

My parents are trying to give me legal Power of Attorney over their affairs. They live in South Africa at the moment. We have the documents filled out but we are not sure if it is legal to have them notarized in South Africa. Would that be honored here in the States? Or is there some way to have it notarized at an Embassy or Consulate?

Under the law of parties in Texas - if a person drives someone to a drug deal and does not know what is to take place until it starts happening in front of them are they guilty of delivery of controlled substance or do they have to know what is going on from the beginning? And are they then obligated to stop said transaction or get away from the transaction?
