Can Property Owned By Spouses With Survivorship Rights Be Sold to Pay Medical Bills?
On a survivership deed (husband and wife) if one is in a nursing home and funds are not available to pay costs, can the surviving spouse be forced to sale property to pay the nursing home?

After attempting to probate a will it was returned to me after a caveat was filed claiming undue influence. I was told by the surrogate judge I need to file a motion to show cause in Superior Court.With a legitimate will and no basis for undue influence claim can I do this myself? The surrogate Judge says I can. Thanks

My husband and I were divorced April of 2007. I have dated no one else, neither has he. We have continued to have relations and he pays for my pager and cable. My mother-in-law will be relocating to California and would like to give her Power of Attorney to her daughter whom she will live with in California. Because she is still residing in Hawaii and will relocate to California in January would her power of attorney be a State of Hawaii or State of California? Is there a general one for all states?
