my neighbor's 'heritage' tree (as defined by city code) has roots that have significantly damaged and uplifted my driveway. The city requires a permit and inspection from the city's arborist to decide on whether roots can be cut/trimmed (after I remove the existing concrete)and prefers that the tree's owner gives permission. The owner has not given permission, nor is cooperativ...

In 2001 in Wisconsin I was convicted with disorderly conduct a class B misdemeanor. At the time they said I could not possess a firearm. I just checked my record and there is nothing that says I cannot possess one now. Was that just for my probation period? I would like to hunt but don't want to get in trouble for having a firearm. I had a 5 year auto lease with an option to buy at the end of the lease. The anniversary of the lease is Feb. 2010; however I've prepaid the lease by 2 payments and the company demands that Dec. 8 is the date to exercise my option to buy. AM I entitled to 2 more months? There's nothing on a prepay penalty in the contract.

I'm in sales and my company may be sold. My contract states: 'If terminated with cause, no commissions will be paid after the termination date'. Would the sale of the company (and my not being part of the acquired assets) constitute termination with cause in which case I would lose all my commissions?
